Carson is Movista’s Chief Financial Officer and brings a 15-year history of delivering growth and scale in software and technology companies. His experience includes senior leadership roles at Barracuda Networks, Cyence, and Sequoia Consulting Group.

Prior to Movista, Carson was the Vice President, Finance and Operations and a member of the Leadership Team at the Sequoia Consulting Group, a market leader using technology that unifies benefits, HR, retirement, and insurance services for companies as they scale and need to protect their businesses.

Carson was previously CFO at Cyence, an enterprise cloud software company that combines data science, cybersecurity, and economics into an analytics platform that quantifies the financial impact of cyber risk. The company was acquired by Guidewire Software (NYSE: GWRE) in November 2017 for over $275 million and was led by key investors NEA and IVP.

Prior to Cyence, Carson was the Vice President, Finance and Investor Relations for Barracuda Networks, a cyber-security platform company with key investors Sequoia Capital and Francisco Partners. While in this role, the company had a successful Initial Public Offering on the New York Stock Exchange in 2013.

Prior to 2013, Carson worked with two companies backed by top-tier venture capital firms – Trulia, a real estate internet company that connects home buyers, sellers, and real estate professionals, and MiaSolé, a green technology company. From 2003 to 2011, he held roles of increasing responsibility in finance and business development at Intuit, Inc. He began his career at General Electric in the company’s Financial Management Program. Carson holds an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Michigan and a B.A. from Brown University.
